2026 TISDC Jury Chair Meeting · Successfully Concluded

The 2026 Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) brought together a total of 97 professional jury members across its five competition categories for the preliminary selection. The jury included design experts from Taiwan, Japan, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Mexico, and other parts of the world. With their diverse professional perspectives, the jury selected outstanding works that showcase the creativity of a new generation of designers.

Following the completion of the preliminary selection, TISDC held the Preliminary Jury Chairpersons’ Joint Meeting on August 17. Jury chairpersons representing the five competition categories—Product Design, Visual Design, Digital Animation, Architecture and Landscape Design, and Fashion Design—attended the meeting on behalf of their respective jury panels to review, discuss, and exchange views on the preliminary selection results and shortlisted entries.

During the meeting, the jury chairpersons engaged in in-depth discussions on the shortlisted works, sharing their observations and perspectives from different professional fields and evaluation approaches. Through the exchange of diverse opinions, they further built consensus and clarified the evaluation directions and criteria for each category.

In addition, the jury chairpersons raised questions and offered suggestions regarding this year’s evaluation process, while also sharing the key aspects and criteria they considered when reviewing the entries. Their discussions covered various dimensions, including creativity, design concepts, and overall execution, providing diverse and professional perspectives for the subsequent evaluation process.

Through this joint meeting, TISDC not only confirmed the preliminary selection results but also continued to refine its evaluation mechanism through professional dialogue across different fields. We sincerely thank all 97 professional jury members from around the world for their contributions and support, as well as the jury chairpersons for their valuable insights and suggestions. We look forward to seeing the shortlisted works demonstrate even more outstanding design creativity in the upcoming final selection.
