On April 18th, the promotional activities of the 2022 Taiwan International Student Design Competition and Miira Lin, Associate Project Director of TISDC are very happy to be able to introduce the competition to the teachers and students of the Department of Visual Communication Design, University of Science and Technology of China online. The theme of 2022TISDC is “One World”, encouraging students to think about the universal values

This year’s first overseas exhibition was held at the newely opened shopping mall, Hublife Jakarta, located in Indonesia. The exhibition was co-organized with the University Multimedia Nusantara and showcased works designed by the 2021TISDC winners. Besides the winning works, a throwback video and showreel were also displayed, hoping the public could have a better insight into TISDC. Brochures and portfolios were also provided at the venue for the public to read. We hope students can take this opportunity to appreciate other students’ works, review their own works, and find numerous inspirations. There were more than 500 people who had visited the exhibition. A big thank you to the University Multimedia Nusantara again for all the support and assistance towards this exhibition.

On April 22nd, The promotional activities of the 2022 Taiwan International Student Design Competition went to National Yunlin University of Science and Technology conduct the 10 campus publicity and promotion activities to share this year’s competition information with the teachers and students.

There were about 50 people on the scene. In addition to encouraging students to participate actively and strive for high prize money, we hope that students can accumulate their creative energy solidly by participating in international competitions! The theme of 2022TISDC is “One World”, encouraging students to make creative designs based on the theme of this year’s competition.

We hope students could use design to pursue the universal values of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which was proposed by the United Nations. TISDC hopes that students from across the globe can promote the universal value of sustainability and unity through diverse and inspiring concept of design.

Finally, we would like to thank the participating teachers and students of the Department of Creative Design and the Department of Industrial Design of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology for their participation. Especially thanks to Mr. Wang-Chin Tsai and Mr. Wen-Hsien Lin, the assistant professors of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology for their strong support and assistance, making this publicity event a success!

On April 21^st 2022 (Thu.), Professor Apex Lin, Pang-Soong is honored to come to the 9^th stop -Hsing Wu University to promote the competition. This year’s theme – ‘One World’  connects with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)proposed by the UN in 2015, which are set to be achieved by 2030. It is hoped that the students from around the world can support and hold hands with one another to unite the global strength and forge a better world hand in hand so that the universal value of unity and sustainability can be achieved.

There were approximately 30 students participating the campaign. Professor Lin not only encouraged students to actively participate the competition and strive for the great amount of prize money, but also hoping students are able to accumulate their experiences in participating international competitions and challenge themselves. Hope to see the performance of students and looking forward to see they standing on the stage of the world one day.

On April 25th, the executive team of 2022 Taiwan International Student Design Competition (2022TISDC) visited Tatung University in Taipei for the promotional campaign. 2022TISDC’s associate project director, Mrs. Miira Lin, led the executive team to have design exchanges with the students and introduced the theme and competition regulations of 2022TISDC to all the attendees. Around 60 teachers and students joined the session together.

Due to the pandemic, the whole world is facing a lot of ordeals, people strived for life and also learned to coexist with the virus. The theme of 2022TISDC is “One World”, which is related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations in 2015. TISDC hopes that students can put their effort to the universal value of sustainability and seize the opportunity to show the world their brilliant works. 

Finally, we would like to thank again to all the professor and the teachers from Tatung University Department of Media Design for the perfect arrangement and assistance of this event. TISDC looks forwad to the participation of students of Tatung University.

On 26^th April, the executive team of 2022 Taiwan International Student Design Competition (2022TISDC) went to the Chihlee University of Technology to promote this year’s competition. There were about 50 people on the scene.

The theme of 2022TISDC is “One World”, which is related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations in 2015. By giving a detailed explanation of this year’s theme, last year’s award-winning works were also shared amongst the students. We hope that students can explore, actively participate in the event and think outside the box to enhance own skills.

The promotion was a huge success and thanks to all the students and teachers who participated! Special thanks to Prof. Cong for the perfect arrangement and assistance of this event.

On April 27^th 2022, Mr. Jerry Chang, founder of CKOY, was invited to give a lecture at National Pingtung University for the Circular Economy campus lecture II. There’re more than 88 participants joined in this event.

According to the topic of “More than Sustainable Design 101” for the lecture, Mr. Jerry Chang not only shared about the importance and meaning of circular economy, but also encouraged audience to put the concept of circular economy into limited condition, and take the user’s experience as standard. All students and teachers have learned a lot. Many thanks to Mr. Chang’s sharing.

TISDC would like to thank National Pingtung University for the strong support and assistance for making this event a successful conclusion. Due to the great support from TPCA foundation, TISDC had a chance to hold the lecture in the theme of circular economy and to provide different aspects of thoughts and observations in the field of design. Looking forward to see more great works to come this year TISDC.

Campus Lecture: Circular Economy I was held online on April 27th, 2022. Game designer Ruei Feng Huang of the Yamm Stream Inc. will give an online lecture to the teachers and students of National Taiwan University of Arts with the theme of “Sustainable Art”, and very happy that nearly 30 viewers participated.

 

Director Huang brought sustainable issues from his personal creative experience. In addition to expounding his own views on environmental conservation, he also shared many cases of cooperation with different types, and guided the audience to rethink the issue of “circular economy”. The teachers and students in the field have benefited a lot, thank Director Huang for sharing.

 

TISDC would like to thank to teachers Wei-Chung Chang and Chun-I Lee from the Department of Meltimedia and Animation Arts of National Taiwan University of Arts for the strong support and assistance for making this event a successful conclusion. Due to the great support from TPCA foundation, TISDC had the chance to hold the lecture in the theme of circular economy and to provide different aspects of thoughts and observations in the field of design.
