Chung Yuan Christian University is founded on the spirit of Christian love for the world. With faith, hope, and love, we endeavor to promote higher education for the benefit of the Chinese people, aiming at the pursuit and advancement of genuine knowledge in order to maintain our cultural heritage and, thus, to serve humankind.

The School of design encompasses professional departments in Architecture, Interior Design, Commercial Design, Product Design, Cultural Heritage, and Landscape Ecology, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining distinct characteristics in each field. The overall goal is to establish a comprehensive integrated design education system, grounded in a cultural perspective, moving towards a “new genre spatial aesthetic” that integrates “community aesthetics” and “sustainable care.” Our institute cultivates design professionals and, in line with the needs of a globalized 21st-century society, realizes its ideal of professional practical education.
