Fu Jen Catholic University

Fu Jen Catholic University was founded in 1925 and re-established in Taiwan in 1961. It is the only comprehensive university in Taiwan directly affiliated with the Holy See. The University comprises 12 colleges and an affiliated hospital, offering abundant academic and medical resources. Guided by Christian values of universal love and the principles of “Truth, Goodness, Beauty, and Holiness,” Fu Jen is committed to holistic education, cultivating talents with social responsibility and forward-looking perspectives.

To realize its vision of becoming “an internationally recognized Catholic university with social impact,” Fu Jen integrates the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its curriculum and aligns with the government’s net-zero transition policy, setting a target of carbon neutrality by 2030. President Lan Yi-Chen has proposed the “G.R.A.C.E.” governance framework, encompassing Global Engagement (G), Recruitment Diversity (R), Alliance Partnerships (A), Creation of Academic-Industry Value (C), and Eco Sustainability (E).

Looking ahead, Fu Jen will implement this vision across three key domains: a sustainable campus, the Wenzaizun University Town development, and a global network platform. Through strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration, the University aims to steadily advance toward becoming a carbon-neutral ecological campus and a leading international institution in sustainability.
