The Magnetic Flower is a stop-motion short combining collage, stitching, and digital animation. Inspired by the creator’s experience with a neurodivergent family member, it follows a child labeled “abnormal” on a journey to find a mythical flower and learn self-acceptance. Handmade textures echo the core theme: even if one doesn’t fit societal ideals, they are still worthy and beautiful. The film invites viewers to reflect on “normality” through symbolic, layered visuals.
