Reading is fundamental to a child’s development, yet visually impaired children in Indonesia have limited access to inclusive books and are often separated from shared reading experiences. Braillo was created to address this gap by redefining the book as a shared sensory platform. It is a multisensory tactile book that integrates Braille and the Latin alphabet within a single interface, allowing visually impaired and sighted children to read together. Narrative elements are translated into physical textures embedded in each page, enabling children to explore stories through touch while accessing the same narrative. This multisensory system supports imagination, spatial understanding, and independence. By uniting tactile and visual literacy, Braillo removes barriers between readers and transforms reading into an inclusive, shared sensory experience.
