My concept was to express music through type. Conducting is the act of giving directions to musicians: using hand gestures to tel them what and how to perform. The conductors’ movements define tempo, and as each piece has a different rhythm, we can consider the traces of these movements to be a musical language. I attempted to express this musical language through movement, by collecting screenshots of certain conductors, tracing their movements, and arranging them in a rhythmical fashion.
