Acid rain, a widespread environmental threat, often goes unnoticed and diminishes public awareness during outdoor activities. Raindex addresses this challenge by merging functional outdoor gear with laboratory-inspired design, offering protection from acid rain and alerting users to its presence through a responsive product system.
By using acid-sensitive materials, Raindex turns invisible pollution into visible signals. As environmental changes occur, textures inspired by erosion victims—buildings, plants, metal, and soil—alter in color, visually alerting users to the presence and intensity of acid rain.
Raindex’s gear lets users detect and respond to environmental threats in real time, raising awareness and empowering people to protect themselves and their communities.
