As delivery platforms have risen to prominence, delivery rider culture has grown rapidly across major cities worldwide, becoming an indispensable part of contemporary urban life. Yet this surge in demand has never been met with a corresponding urban spatial response — riders navigate environments not designed for them, lacking dedicated spaces to rest, resupply, or take shelter, remaining a necessary yet invisible presence within the urban fabric.
Riders’ Comfort Pod is a micro-architectural intervention addressing this systemic gap:
a replicable, autonomous structure deployable across diverse urban contexts — improving riders’ working conditions while establishing their visibility and dignity as workers and citizens within the city.
