SHIELDEX is an integrated defense shield system for metro carriages, providing immediate protection and active guidance during sudden violent incidents to reduce panic from information asymmetry.

Comprising a shield and a wall-mounted base,the system integrates onboard surveillance to detect conflicts in real time. Upon threat detection, a red alert warns passengers and notifies the driver. Once verified via remote monitoring, the driver remotely unlocks the wall-mounted base, using green lights and audio prompts to guide passenger deployment.

Optimized through stress analysis, the high-impact polycarbonate wave structure achieves a lightweight profile of just 700 grams while maintaining maximum strength. It integrates strobing LEDs and a linear Fresnel lens texture to generate visual disruption, deterring attackers and securing critical reaction time.
