Using natural cotton rope as the core medium, this collection utilizes dense machine-stitching and hand-stitching to establish a rigid silhouette. The height variations and shadows from the layered ropes mimic the static yet fluid ripples of a zen garden (Karesansui). This daily sewing process is not merely creating structure, but a meditative practice to still the wandering mind and balance inner restlessness.
Breaking away from traditional fabric-cutting, this mono-material collection simplifies future recycling and eliminates composite pollution. Discarding traditional interlining, the garments rely solely on stitching tension for structural support. Through hand-stitched joins, the interwoven ropes retain organic elasticity and breathability, adapting to the body’s dynamic extension and establishing a fluid relationship between the garment and the human form.
