Circular Economy campus lecture IV came to Ling Tung University on May 10th, 2023 (Wednesday). The winner of the visual design category of the 2018 Taiwan International Student Design Competition, designer Xiang-Xin Wan brought a brilliant speech to the teachers and students of Natinoal Chiayi University. We’re happy to see that there’re 65 teachers and students participate in the campaign.

With the theme of “Seeing Environmental Sustainability from Design”, designer Xiang-Xin Wan introduced the work “Under 1.0” that won the gold prize in TISDC. She explained how to connect design thinking with the concept of sustainability. In addition, she watched various animal channels when she was a child. She liked animals and paintings so much, and she often got design inspiration from all kinds of animals. “Under 1.0” is based on the commonly visible vision checklist. The different vision is the symbol of different animal. The smaller one and the one cannot be easily seen showed the similar situation of each endangered animal species. “Under 1.0” is also invited to participate in the permanent exhibition “府-Power To The People” at the Presidential Office and more visitors can understand Taiwan’s natural ecology and pay attention to environmental protection issues through the exhibition.

Many Thanks to designer Xiang-Xin Wan for the lecture sharing. We believe that the students have learned a lot from the speech and have a deeper consideration for environmental sustainability and creative design. Circular Economy campus lecture was hold successfully. Special thanks to all the professors’ support and assistance! TISDC believed that there will be more wonderful works from National Chiayi University!
