The promotion train of the TISDC is now coming to Japan!TISDC has specially invited Yosuke Okamoto, the member of Central Nagoya Creators Association, as the promotional representative in Japan. The school participating in this international publicity is Aichi Design College, and a campus publicity event will be held on May 8th, 2023, with a total of 30 teachers and students participating.

Special thanks to Professor Yosuke Okamoto for his assistance in making this event a success. We hope that the students from Japan can to pay attention to the news of TISDC and hope to see many excellent works from Japan.

On 28^th April 2023, the project manager of Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) led the campus promotional campaign of TISDC at the Department of Digital Media Design at Tungnan University. It’s our great pleasure to have exchange with students at Tungnan University and share the information of this year’s competition with them.

We gave our great appreciation to all the teachers for helping us to arrange this promotional campaign. Targeting on the theme of this year’s competition, “Compassion,” not only pointed out some detailed information about the competition but also shared some of the winning students’ experiences of participating in this competition. We hope to share some works in different field of vision to students. TISDC wishes for students participate in the competition and take the chance to let the world see their works.

Project Director Prof. Apex Lin led the promotional campaign in Korea, and meet the President of the Korean Federation of Design Associations (KFDA), Kim Hyunsun, and the President of Seoul Design Foundation (SDF), Kwon Young Gull at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) on May 2nd. The visit was arranged by Mr. Yoo Yoonho, who is the President of Korea Ensemble of Contemporary Design (KECD).

Through this exchange opportunity, Professor Pang-Soong Lin introduced TISDC, the Design Talent Cultivation Project of the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. Because of the support of multiple foundations and cooperation platforms, TISDC has become more robust and large-scale.

Moreover, Professor Lin introduced the theme of TISDC this year “Compassion” is in accordance with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015. We hope to encourage students of all nations to observe and care about the issues around them and in the world. With a design mindset of empathy and solicitude, they can make the world a better place.

Professor Lin also mentioned the cooperative relationship between TISDC and 22 international design associations around the world. The exchange process was very successful. We believe that it can further promote design exchange between Taiwan , Korea and encourage more students from Korea University or College of Design to participate in this year’s competition and also join the TISDC art school platform to have a long-term cooperation relationship through this interaction.

The third Campus Lecture: Circular Economy was held on April 27, 2023 (Thursday) at Department of Commercial Design of Hsing Wu University. Aining OUYANG, COO of REnato Lab, was specially invited to be a presenter for 76 teachers and students Get involved.

Aining Ouyang, the Chief Operating Officer, gave a speech titled “100 Possibilities for Sustainable Living,” during which she also addressed the current issue of the European Union imposing a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and its potential impact on manufactures in Taiwan. She highlighted the need for future professionals to be equipped to tackle environmental challenges related to carbon footprints, regulations, and economic growth without exploiting natural resources. Aining Ouyang also explained environmentally friendly consumer choices, such as “Ching Piao” and “Good to Go,” in simple terms. As for the perspective of professionals, she used the example of making bread, which requires flour, yeast, and eggs, to explain the elements of the United Nations’ Sustainable Lifestyles Framework. She emphasized that cooperation among different industries and sectors are crucial for achieving sustainable living.

2023 Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) has launched its promotional tour at many of the design schools and colleges in Taiwan. The theme of this year’s competition is “Compassion”!

On 3^rd May, Wednesday, the project manager of TISDC was honored to go to Tainan National University of the Arts to promote the competition. We gave our great appreciation to Prof. Chiao-Fang Lin for helping us arrange this promotional campaign. There are 30 teachers and students from Graduate Institute of Animation and Film Art participated in the campaign. It’s our great pleasure to have exchange with students at Tainan National University of the Arts and share the information of this year’s competition with them. We look forward to students’ active participation in TISDC with their excellent animation works.

The Taiwan International Students Design Competition (TISDC) exhibition tour is now in Induk University in Korea from 3rd to 9th of May 2023. A one-week exhibition of award-winning works held in the Ahjung Museum of Art in the university. Meanwhile, the TISDC is also promoted in School of Creative Design classes. Around 200 teachers and students joined the session together. It’s hoped that the students from Induk University will participate in the competition in near future.

We want to thank Professors from Induk University, Prof. Kim Young Seok, Prof.Lee Minhyeong, Prof. Hong Jiwon, Prof. Park Taeho, Prof.Cho Woongjae, Prof. Kim Gyurim, and Prof. Kwak Tae Hyeuk for the invitation and the assistance of President of KECD, Yoo Yoonho and Vice President, Chia Hua Jackie Lee. In addition, with the help from KECD experts such as Chief Director of Exhibition Department, Kang Min Jee, Ex-president, Chang Ho Chirl, and Vice President, Cho Woong Jae, the TISDC is able to bring winning works of students from all around the globe to Korea and launch the 2022 Exhibition Tour in the Ahjung Museum of Art.

The Induk University is not only famed for its College of Design but is also an outstanding university recognized by numerous companies. It’s hoped that through the exhibition as well as promotion in Korea, the TISDC would have a platform to communicate and to approach local students and teachers. We are glad that this exhibition allows Korean teachers and students to get to know the TISDC and that design students are provided with more inspirations and learning opportunities through engaging interactions with outstanding design essences offered by students from around the world.

Finally, We would like to thank KECD again for their big support in helping us to organize such a great and grandly event. We hope that through the international exhibition, would receive positive feedbacks from teachers and students. We also hope that universities and colleges in Korea will be able to stay tuned for the competition updates and that students will bring in their excellent works to participate in the competition this year.

On 5^th May, Friday, the project manager of TISDC was honored to go to New Taipei Jhangshu International Creative Technical High School to promote the competition. We gave our great appreciation to Director Cai-Miao Ke for helping us arrange this promotional campaign. There are 200 teachers and students from Multimedia Animation participated in the campaign. It’s our great pleasure to have exchange with students at Jhangshu International Creative Technical High School and share the information of this year’s competition with them.

Targeting on the theme of this year’s competition, “Compassion,” project manager introduced the rules of the competition and shared the analysis for awarded works to encourage students to actively cultivate their design skills, and inspire their creative thinking through the professional perspective of design. TISDC gave several examples of how to integrate this year’s theme, encouraged students to observe, think and design from distinct perspectives and integrate the idea of “Compassion” into design works. This year, we expect to see more excellent works from Jhangshu International Creative Technical High School to participate in TISDC.

Under the Department of Advertisement Design, we promoted the event together with the project manager of Design-International Design Competition (IDC),with 118 participants joining in the promotion on-site. The theme of this competition is “Equality,” and we aim to link it with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations in 2015 for achievement by 2030. We call on students to treat others with equal respect and care,and through this promotion,further educate the audience on the competition’s regulations.

Finally,we express our special thanks to National Keelung Commercial & Industrial Vocational Senior High School for their warm invitation,allowing the project to reach a wider audience. Also grateful for Ming-Jie Hong teacher ‘s assistance,and the active participation of everyone involved contributed to the successful conclusion of this promotional event!

The Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) 2024 campus promotion campaign is in full swing! The project manager visited the Department of commercial Design at Ming Chuan University on April 16th (Tue) to conduct campus promotion. We were honored to have approximately 100 students and faculty attended the event.

The theme of this year’s competition is “Equality,” aligning with the United Nations’ sustainable development goals proposed in 2015 to be achieved by 2030. It calls on students to treat others with equal respect and warmth, using the power of design to foster inclusivity and create a more beautiful and diverse society, realizing the vision of “Fair Treatment, Equal Care; Diversity and Inclusion, Harmony and Integration.”

Under the enthusiastic invitation of the Academy of Design, we are honored to promote the event, with 50 participants joining in the promotion on-site. We call on students to treat others with equal respect and care, and through this promotion, further educate the audience on the competition’s regulations.

Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) Campus promotion Event arrived at the  National Chung Hsing University on March 27th!

With the enthusiastic invitation from the Continuing Bachelor Program in Digital Humanities and Creative Industries, together with the Design-International Design Competition (IDC), we joined hands with the passionate 40 teachers and students present to make this event a great success! The theme “Equality” is in accordance with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015. The TISDC introducing our theme slogan: Fair treatment·Equal care ‘Equal Respect and Universal Love; Embracing Diversity and Fostering Harmony’. Helping them understand this competition. This time, invited Designer Fu-Jun Wan to share her design experiences. 

At the end of the event, we would like to extend our special thanks to the National Chung Hsing University for their invitation, and to all the teachers and students who participated in this event. Special mention goes to Director  DR. KUN-HUNG CHEN for his assistance. The enthusiastic participation of everyone made this promotional event a complete success.

Under the enthusiastic invitation of the Department of Visual Communication Design, we promoted the event together with the project manager of Design-International Design Competition (IDC), with 60 participants joining in the promotion on-site. The theme of this competition is “Equality,” and we aim to link it with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations in 2015 for achievement by 2030. We call on students to treat others with equal respect and care, and through this promotion, further educate the audience on the competition’s regulations.

We extend our gratitude to designer Yi Xuan Ye, invited by the IDC, for sharing his award-winning experience, inspiring fellow students in their creative endeavors. 

Finally, we express our special thanks to Chaoyang University of Technology for their warm invitation, allowing the project to reach a wider audience.
